Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - What Does Mode Mean?

Q: I recently used Realcomp’s “CMA 1-Line (Landscape)” MLS report and included it as a page in my CMA. It includes low, high, median, and mode figures for the List Price, Sold Price, and $ per Square Feet in the bottom right-hand corner of the report. What does "mode" actually mean?

A: The definition of mode is “the number which appears most often in a set of numbers.” So, the prices that were listed the highest number of times for each of the three (3) categories above are displayed in the mode field.
