A verified Michigan REALTOR^® has just made an appointment to show your listing, which has a SentriLock Electronic Lockbox (ELB) on it. They’re not sure of what to do to open the box and you don’t have time to teach them … sound familiar?

Here’s our recommendation. Share instructions with the Showing Agent on how to open the lockbox. Realcomp has created the following two-page flyer (PDF) for this purpose to be shared with both Realcomp REALTORS (pg. 1 applies) and non-Realcomp REALTORS (pg. 2 applies).

For Realcomp REALTORS^® who haven’t yet used an ELB, downloaded the SentriSmart app, and activated their SentriLock account, the flyer tells them that they need to take these important steps. The flyer also includes instructions for non-Realcomp REALTORS^® on how to use the SentriConnect app. (If you are allowing a Showing Agent to access your listing via SentriConnect, you will need to grant them access to the property through your SentriSmart app.) Both pages of the online flyer also include links to instructional videos.

Be sure to include this link in the Agent Remarks of your listing. This way, as the listing is shared through other MLSs, the Showing Agent will know how to go about accessing the listing. You can include this link in the showing instructions you email to the Showing Agent also. Taking these actions will help to educate all agents who are showing your listings.
