Oakland County Community & Home Improvement Division is developing a new five-year Consolidated Plan to identify how it will invest $5 million annually in Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program and Emergency Solutions Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
You can help set future funding priorities for housing and community development by participating in upcoming focus groups on Housing, Community Development and Public Services. All focus groups will be held at the Oakland County Conference Center, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford MI 48328, at the following times:
HOUSING - Tuesday, May 19 from 9 - 11 AM
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - Thursday, May 21 from 2 - 4 PM
PUBLIC SERVICES - Tuesday, June 2 from 9 - 11 AM
"These funds help improve neighborhoods, assist low-income homeowners with repairs to their homes and are used to help prevent foreclosures and homelessness," Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. "This is an important process and I encourage the public to attend one of the sessions."
If you are unable to attend a focus group, take a moment to give them your views by taking an online survey at Oakland County CHI CP Survey 2015.
