Property Showing Reminder:
We recently had a report of a REALTOR who was finishing a showing, allowing the couple who said they had the next showing appointment to enter the property without their REALTOR present. Please make sure the property is returned to its’ pre-showing condition and that you do not permit others to enter the property without their REALTOR.
Additional Property Showing Etiquette – Checklist for what to do after a showing:
Leave the property as you found it.
Collect any papers or trash and remove garbage from property.
Tidy up any items that may have been moved.
Return blinds/curtains to their original position.
Do a quick walkthrough to make sure everything is the same as when you arrived.
Turn off all lights.
Lock all doors – don’t forget basement and garage.
Return Key to the Lockbox.
From NAR’s Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual: Be considerate of the seller's property. Do not allow anyone to eat, drink, smoke, dispose of trash, use bathing or sleeping facilities, or bring pets. Leave the house as you found it unless instructed otherwise.
