Q: CoreLogic's Data Co-Op and the RPR products sound as if they offer the same thing. Can you tell me in simple terms what I can expect from these partnerships?
A: We are so glad you asked. So much information at one time certainly can be confusing.
In January, the Realcomp Board of Governors confirmed Realcomp’s commitment to expand data sharing with MLS/Associations throughout the state. Choosing a common ground to make the data exchange possible was the next step in this decision. Much consideration went into deciding what platforms could best help in our efforts to accomplish data sharing on a large scale. At the top of our list of considerations was data security, which is vitally important in data sharing - the assurance of “where” the data is going and “who” has access to it. Both the CoreLogic Data Co-Op and RPR bring unique strengths and capabilities to the table. In making our decision to work with them both, we can provide unique offerings, as well as cutting edge options for accessing MLS data.
Now that the partnerships are in place, the technology is so efficient that once an agreement is made with an MLS/Association who chooses to share data, we can very quickly be up and running with data sharing. Having both platforms also provides options to MLS/Associations for partnering with us.
