All Active Listings in the MLS Must Be Available for Showings

As of the first Monday in August of this year, ALL Active listings in the MLS must be available to be shown. Previously, Realcomp’s MLS policies allowed for no showings on active listings for up to 14 days after the list date. However, based on a tremendous amount of feedback from MLS Subscribers, Realcomp’s Board of Governors passed the following MOTION during a mid-year meeting:

“To require that any Active listing in the MLS be available for showing”.

This policy modification has eliminated confusion and frustration for MLS subscribers and consumers alike when attempting to schedule showings on Active listings.

As a reminder, according to Realcomp’s MLS Rules & Regulations, all Exclusive Right to Sell and Exclusive Agency listings (in the State of Michigan) taken by MLS Subscribers must be submitted to Realcomp within 48 hours. If a listing cannot be published in the MLS (based on seller request), please be sure to complete our updated DO NOT PUBLISH form and fax this to Realcomp, along with a copy of your listing.
