It's very important that you open the SentriKey app while you have a reliable Internet connection on your device (i.e. from your home, office, local coffee shop, etc). Opening the app updates your software, validates your MLS credentials, and will soon update your approved showing appointment -- all prerequisites for successfully opening ELBs.

You've heard it said that MLS subscribers don't need Internet access at properties in order to open a SentriLock lockbox. And, that is true because your device communicates with the ELB via BlueTooth technology. But, you do need to have your app updated prior to the showing (which does require Internet access) to ensure successful access to the lockbox.
