Realcomp has received word from SentriLock that they plan to release a new enhanced version of the SentriConnect app on Wednesday, July 8th. As you may remember, SentriConnect is the app that is used by out-of-area REALTORS® and contractors (i.e. painters, inspectors, etc.) to access SentriLock electronic lockboxes (ELBs) that are assigned to your listings once you have granted them access.
The old version of the SentriConnect app is being retired on July 8th at approximately 5:00 a.m. EDT. The new version of the app will be available on the same day at approximately 7:00 a.m. EDT.
We have learned the new version is more intuitive and user-friendly and contains more features.
What does this mean for you (the listing agent/office)? You will continue to grant SentriConnect access to your ELBs/listings the same way you always have – through the SentriKey system. You do not need to do anything specific to the retirement of the old app or the launch of the new one (i.e. no need to re-grant any lockbox accesses, etc.).
What does this mean for SentriConnect users? All SentriConnect users will need to uninstall the old app and install the new one (after 7:00 a.m.) on July 8th to use the app to open a box they have been authorized to open. If they try to access a box with the retired app (on July 8th or after), they will see the following message: “You must upgrade to the latest version of the app.” Once users have downloaded the new app, they will be able to login using their current login information.
SentriLock will be communicating this information directly to SentriConnect users between tomorrow (7/2) and July 8th. But we wanted you to be aware of this just in case you receive questions from SentriConnect users.
