Reverse Prospecting, Opting Out, and More

What are the Benefits of Reverse Prospecting?

By allowing Reverse Prospecting on an Auto Email, other agents are able to search the system and find agents representing buyers who may be looking for a property like their listings. Matching is based on the client’s search criteria that is stored in the Auto Email.

The listing agent may then contact you about their listing being a potential match for your client. Reverse Prospecting is an excellent marketing tool that can lead to increased communication regarding potential properties, opportunities, and sales!

How to “Opt Out” of Reverse Prospecting

While setting up an Auto Email, there is an "Opt Out" option on the settings page for disabling the Reverse Prospecting feature. Be sure to uncheck the Reverse Prospecting box to do this. Unchecking the box will prevent you from being contacted by agents who have listings that match your prospect/buyer’s criteria.

Reverse Prospecting – How to “Opt Out” of a previously stored Auto Email:

1.     Login to RCO3

2.     Choose “My RCO” from the menu

3.     Select “Auto Emails”

4.     Select the Auto Email you wish to edit.

5.     Select “Settings” from the options.

6.     At the bottom of the Settings page, you will find “Show this contact in Reverse Prospecting results”. Uncheck this option.

7.     To complete this change, be sure to select SAVE at the bottom of the page.

Receiving Prospecting Post Cards?

If you are receiving Email post cards from agents regarding listings new to the market be sure to choose to “unsubscribe” from the emails. By law, these emails should have an unsubscribe option.
