Realcomp hosted a Broker Breakfast last week to share important product and service updates. The SentriLock Electronic Lockboxes were discussed, during which time these reminder suggestions were made by Brokers in attendance:

1. The Two (2) SentriLock Apps and Who Should Use Each One:

   1. SentriKeyis the app that Realcomp REALTORS^® should be using to access the SentriLock lockboxes. If you are a Realcomp REALTOR^® and have not yet activated your SentriLock account or downloaded the SentriKey app, please get yourself ready by following these instructions.
   2. SentriConnect is the app that non-Realcomp REALTORS^® (or REALTORS^® without the SentriLock service) or contractors should be using to access your listings with SentriLock Lockboxes on them. Once you or your office has granted the authorized individual with SentriConnect access to your listing, that person will be able to access your lockbox through the SentriConnect app on the day(s) and/or timeframe you have assigned.

   Be sure to acquaint yourself with our 2-page instructions sheet for more details! Each of the above apps can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

2. At the beginning of a showing, after opening a SentriLock lockbox with your SentriKey app, be sure to press the “Continue” button before putting your phone away. We’ve had reports of the “Key Missing - Yes” message being inadvertently sent to listing agents/offices when phones are placed into pockets and/or purses and “Continue” has not been pressed.

3. All Realcomp REALTORS^® Using ELBs Should Turn-On Location Services on Your Smart Phones! This is an important piece to the SentriLock End of Showing notifications successfully being sent to Listing Agents/Offices. Additionally, there are four (4) other prerequisites for End of Showing notifications to be successful. Please read about them here.
